Robert Rubbish on Soho...

Last month I interviewed the artist and film maker Robert Rubbish about our favourite part of London.

Robert's got form as one of those people that make Soho what it is. Although a reformed character now, he was a fixture in drinking dens the length of Dean St in his time. It was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, listening to him talk about his feelings for the place.

The interview is up here on the Unofficial Britain website, which is well worth a read too.

Heavenly Recordings at The House of St Barnabas

I'll be reading some poems at this event highlighting the good folks at Heavenly Recordings as part of a series of get-togethers celebrating independent labels at The House of St Barnabas in Soho.

It's going to be seriously good, with Jock Scott also reading and Duke Garwood, Gwenno and Stealing Sheep all playing.

Vine Collective at E17 Arts Trail

I'll be hosting and reading a few poems at this event on Friday, helping to launch The Vine Collective into the world. Which by the sound of what they are trying to do will be a good thing.

The line-up is great, with music from The Cat’s Knickers and Chrome Hoof, readings and performances from Michael SmithGareth Rees and Rob Auton
